Padmavat’s villain Khilji became one of the fine performances of Ranveer Singh, but did you know Sanjay Leela Bhansali initially asked Shah Rukh Khan to play this character? While the actor director duo from Devdas known to have a few problems with dates and schedule in the previous projects which could not happen, Bhansali’s first choice for this glorified character of Khilji in Padmavat was SRK, however this time ‘Pathan’ actor had to politely refuse to do this role.

In one of his interviews, Jawan star revealed that he is so good at making people love the anti-hero, he would probably end up making people like Khilji as well since it was written with such glorification. Given that Khilji was a real character, it wouldn’t be fare to the audience to make them love such a character and he has refuse doing the film.
